STUDENTS RECOVER DISPLACED PROPERTIES FROM OAU MANAGEMENT.

   Due to the eviction of properties from hostels in the previous semester,  Students of Obafemi Awolowo University have began to claim the displaced items from the school.

It should be recalled that this news outfit reported the ongoing renovation exercise in the halls of residence, which necessitated the moving of students' properties and luggage from the halls at the end of Rain semester.

As confirmed by OAU KILONSHELE, students are allowed entrance to the maintenance department of the university for the retrieval of their cupboards and mattresses.

Ajayi Abiodun, a final year student, narrated how his cupboard alongside some properties were moved from Awolowo hall as a result of the renovation exercise.

Abiodun, though couldn't find his cooking utensils and items kept in his cupboard, recovered his cupboard.

"My pots and other things are gone. I got back an empty cupboard." He lamented.

Another student, Olawuyi Taiwo, who spoke with our journalist, explained how he met his cupboard damaged.

"If I have to take it from there, I'll spend a whole lot to repair it."

"I had to leave the place with another one, that is not mine." Taiwo stated.

Meanwhile, speaking with an officer at the department, it was made known that the procedures for recovery include; submission of a printed copy of the claimer's portal page and writing of a letter of request addressed to the Director of works.


"The students thought the management will not keep to their words this time around and they refused to pack as instructed."


The staff, who begged to be anonymous, pointed out that students who have completed that process can visit the department to search for their properties anytime.

"If you are unable to recover all your missing properties now, you can come for it anytime so far we have your details here." She explained.

According to the directorate of works, there is no deadline set for the recovery these items.

"There is no deadline for anyone, who wants to claim them." She asserted pointing at the place where cupboards and mattresses are kept.

OAU RELEASES FINAL LIST FOR 2017/2018 ADMISSIONS.

Friday, 12th January, 2018. By Olufemi Alfred .O.     In lieu of a recent publication by OAU KILONSHELE about the release of admissions list despite the strike, it has been gathered that Obafemi Awolowo University has submitted the final lists of admitted candidates to the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) on the 10th of January.     However, JAMB has began the uploading of the names on the Caps  section of the website as about 20 students have been confirmed by OAU KILONSHELE  to have been admitted      All candidates (Direct Entry and JAMB applicants)  , awaiting their names should log on to the JAMB website and check if they have been admitted.

OAU ADMISSIONS MERIT LIST UPLOADED ON JAMB WEBSITE.

      Few days ago, OAU KILONSHELE posted the release of Obafemi Awolowo University merit list for 2017/2018 admissions, it has been confirmed that some of the aspirants have seen their names on  JAMB's website.       Admission status can be viewed on the CAPS section of the website.           Below are the step by step procedures to access JAMB CAPS 1. Visit jamb.org.ng/efacility  preferably using a PC or chrome browser on mobile. 2. Login with the credentials( email and password) you created your jamb account with. 3. After successfully logging in, click on the options button ( the button with 3 dash) at the top of the page. 4. You'll see CAPS under the tag 'Admissions'. Click on it and you'll be taken to the CAPS page. 5. If the page only shows 'welcome', do not be discouraged. Just click on options on your mobile's browser and change the view of the page to 'desktop view'. This is why it's preferable to use a PC. 6.
