The Chairman of Obafemi Awolowo University chapter of Non-academic staff union(NASU), Wole Odewumi revealed in a conversation with our correspondent that; Academic activities and entrance in to the University may no longer be disrupted though the industrial action by Joint Action Committee (JAC) of the three Non-teaching staff unions is still on.

The response is sequel to the confusion among students as a result of the announcement of the resumption date by the management while the strike is still on.

"Though the strike still continues, there may no longer be blockage of the main entrances and seizure of power and water supply." Odewumi stated in order to allay the fears of students.

As at today, which is the resumption day, OAU KILONSHELE confirmed that power and water has been restored to some halls of residence and academic areas.

The non-academic staff unions; The  Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, SSANU, Non Academic Staff Union, NASU,  and National Association Academic Technologists, NAAT, as reported by OAU KILONSHELE, have been agitating for the fair sharing of the Earned Allowance released by the Federal Government last year.
