Since the reopening of the new buka by Obafemi Awolowo University management, few weeks ago, turn-out of customers has been drained down.

Following the murder incident that happened in Oau new buka, late last year, which left the management with no choice but to lock it down, and now reopened about a week before resumption of the second half of the semester.

On our correspondent's visit to new buka, managers of some eateries and bars lamented to our correspondent on the total low turn- out of customers, which has totally crippled sales.

Our correspondent could also affirm, seeing countable numbers of customers and lots of empty chairs waiting to be filled. " I wouldn't have  judged sales percentage close to 50% "  Channel O manager said.
"People only come surprised to see us opened" she concluded.

Also, our correspondent seeks to confirm about some restrictions rumors about the ban on the sales of some commodities, which Rotunda Manager, who refused to disclose his name, confirms it " especially Gins" he said.

While the A1 attendant chipped in that it's has been mandated that every shop must be on lock down by 10pm, contrary to the 24/7 of previous years. " Most of our customers now run to the bar newly opened along Ibadan Road. " Channel O manager affirms.

Meanwhile, the Manager of Rotunda eatery also concluded that full details of restrictions order can only be given by the chairman of the Buka, who at the point of compilation could not be reached.

Furthermore, some seem to fear the presence of the security patrol, while some see it as nothing to commend. The chief attendant in A1 restaurant believes that there should be a standby security post there, not some set of patrol team who stays for seconds and leave for hours.

He also lamented about their stolen plasma TV, which was stolen during the closure of the Buka; which makes him doubt totally the competence of the security. "From the start of the problem, the security didn't handle the case intellectually" A1 chief attendant reiterated. "
