FREE MEDICAL TESTS DURING PANS WEEK.





    As part of the programmes lined up for the Pharmaceutical Association of Nigerian Students (PANS) convention that is being held for a week, free medical tests and drugs were dispensed to students in Obafemi Awolowo University on Thursday.

   The week long event, which commenced Monday, 23rd of October had pharmacy students from Nigerian universities, such as University of Nigeria, Nsukka; Usman Danfodio University amidst many others, as participants. 'Synergy' as the theme of the convention, was hosted by the faculty of pharmacy in Obafemi Awolowo University.
   
     The exercise cut across medical tests ranging from Malaria to Hepatitis to Hiv/Aids and so many students benefited from the charitable development.
     Mr.Ajayi, a student and one of the beneficiaries, was diagnosed of malaria and was immediately given free drugs. In his words, he expressed his delight by saying; " thanks to the organisers of the programme."



  According to Mr. Omoleso Quadri, one of the participants, he mentioned that the programme has not yet ended as the free blood test and others  are to continue today and Saturday, 28th of October.

    However, there has been football competitions and debates as part of the programmes of the convention.
