Abuse of power as OAU SU D. O. S, LAMBA HARASSED A FELLOW STUDENT

In the late evening of Monday, a student, whose name is Jide accused the Students' Union Director of Socials, popularly known as Lamba, alongside some guys of harassment in Fajuyi Hall of residence.

Mr. Jide narrated to our correspondent that his bedspace in Room no 303, block 3, Fajuyi Hall of residence was claimed to have been allocated to the director of socials, he was told by the Hall chairman (Izzieman) and Lamba to vacate the place but he pleaded with them on Saturday, 27th of May saying he (Mr. Jide) will vacate the place latest 5pm on Monday, 29th of May. But, due to some constraints he was unable to leave and later on, Lamba showed up with some of the hall executives to throw their things out.

According to a witness, Mr Shola of the department of international relations, he said
" I was in the room and Lamba and his guys threw out everything in the room. He (Lamba) almost damaged a laptop in the room and he said he doesn't give a 'fuck' about their emotions and that he will damage the laptop and pay."

In a conversation with the SU Director of socials, Lamba called the report a 'propangada' at first but later disclosed to our correspondent that he alongside with some of the hall executives threw out the occupant's properties out of fury and that he (Lamba) did that when the occupant wasn't complying with his orders.

Also in an interview with the hall chairman of Fajuyi Hall of residence, Izzieman made it known that he was aware of the notice of eviction but he did not know the process of which the eviction would take as he was in church when the harassment took place. In his words,
"I am going to apologize to the concerned fellow for all that happened."
