OAU students triumph over others in "InterVasrity Talk" event in Uniben

OAU19 triumphs in InterVarsity Talk over more than 15 Universities.

Obafemi Awolowo University has always been marked for her incomparable level of producing smart and intelligent students.

Oau Kilonshele learnt that on Saturday, 6th of August 2016, OAU19, 19 students of Microbiology Department, NAMSOAU triumphed in the InterVarsity Talk event themed "Microbiology; an intrinsic field to humanity" at University of Benin which saw the mighty presence of more than 15 Universities all over the country from Wed,3rd of Aug till Sat, 6th of Aug.

Evidently, the first day(Wed, 3rd) and second day(Thursday,4th) featured lectures by prominent microbiologists in Nigeria and also a quiz competition where OAU didn't make it to the semi finals.

On the 3rd day (Friday,5th) the main show which was the anticipated "InterVarsity talk" whereby speakers of the present Varsities were to speak on diverse topics started and several schools presented well, digging deep and presenting their facts before the judges and the patient audience.

Mbaneme Benjamin, (a part four student of MCB) OAU's Speaker, left a mark with his display of intelligence as he overwhelmed the other Universities' speakers with his bold and confident presentation of his intricate points on " Plasmid curing and its effect on microbial survival".

It was a show worthy of one's presence as the thunderous applause coming from students from other schools confirmed that Mr Benjami had spoken well. The judges didn't announce the winner until the last day of the event, Saturday, 6th of August.

As expected, Obafemi Awolowo University came first with 94 points with a clear gap from other competitors.

The Public Relations Officer of NAMS OAU, Odunola Kolawolu commented on the event saying " this first position has become our birthright as this is the second time consecutively since the inception of the NAMS conference 4 years ago"

Obafemi Awolowo University has once again been made proud by her students.

Well done OAU19, you have not only made the school proud, but also yourselves.

OAU RELEASES FINAL LIST FOR 2017/2018 ADMISSIONS.

Friday, 12th January, 2018. By Olufemi Alfred .O.     In lieu of a recent publication by OAU KILONSHELE about the release of admissions list despite the strike, it has been gathered that Obafemi Awolowo University has submitted the final lists of admitted candidates to the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) on the 10th of January.     However, JAMB has began the uploading of the names on the Caps  section of the website as about 20 students have been confirmed by OAU KILONSHELE  to have been admitted      All candidates (Direct Entry and JAMB applicants)  , awaiting their names should log on to the JAMB website and check if they have been admitted.

OAU ADMISSIONS MERIT LIST UPLOADED ON JAMB WEBSITE.

      Few days ago, OAU KILONSHELE posted the release of Obafemi Awolowo University merit list for 2017/2018 admissions, it has been confirmed that some of the aspirants have seen their names on  JAMB's website.       Admission status can be viewed on the CAPS section of the website.           Below are the step by step procedures to access JAMB CAPS 1. Visit jamb.org.ng/efacility  preferably using a PC or chrome browser on mobile. 2. Login with the credentials( email and password) you created your jamb account with. 3. After successfully logging in, click on the options button ( the button with 3 dash) at the top of the page. 4. You'll see CAPS under the tag 'Admissions'. Click on it and you'll be taken to the CAPS page. 5. If the page only shows 'welcome', do not be discouraged. Just click on options on your mobile's browser and change the view of the page to 'desktop view'. This is why it's preferable to use a PC. 6.
